Focus Group Discussion; Training Design for Training Designer and Development of Refresher Training’s System to Indonesian Community Facilitators.

 

FGD I Kegiatan PFPM Tahap IIIAs a continuation of the Consultation Public meeting which was conducted on 26-27 September 2012, at Gren Alia Hotel, Prapatan, Jakarta. Then on 9-10 November 2012, we have carried out a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) in 100 Sunset Hotel Bali. Generally, these activities aim to obtain further information (the results of public consultation before) and the clear and focus responses on any aspects that need to be developed in both training guides, Designer Training and Refresher Training.

This activity was opened by a speech from Mrs. Woro Sulistyaningrum of Bappenas. Present at the meeting also, representatives from the Government (Bappenas), the House of Representatives Republic Indonesia, Universities, PNPM Urban, PNPM DTK, Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), PNPM Support Facilities (PSF), the World Bank, PNPM Generation and some People who work for community development in Indonesia.

This activity is divided into two forms; study meeting on the first day and the second day for discussion. At the study meeting, the participants got refresh about a few things: (1) Gap analysis from Prof. Willi Toisuta, Ph.D, (2) Ethos of Work from the Master of Ethos – H. Jansen Sinamo, (3). Vibrant Communication Skill from Budhita Kismadi, (4). Bangun Kampoeng, Bangun Indonesia, (Departure from and towards the village) by Fary. J. Francis, a member of House of Representatives Republic Indonesia, as well as facilitators of community development and (5) Developing from the Bottom Up: Empowering Rural Communities in the state system of Brazil, by Budiman Soedjatmiko, activists and also a member of the House of Representatives Republic Indonesia.

Further for the Training Designer, the consultants who are involved will begin to assemble a variety of training materials to the Training Designer, while for the Refresher Training, the consultants will prepare a position paper that will be the basic of the development Refresher Training’s system to the actors of empowerment in Indonesia.
